JAMES PEARCE

James Pearce was born in England where he grew up roaming the village green of the charming Evenley in Oxfordshire.  Inspired by the art, fashion and music of London, James headed to the capital to start his 30-year hairdressing career, learning and working amongst the industry’s best. 

James has a wealth of experience and qualifications in all aspects of hairdressing, always offering a bespoke and personalised service with great attention to detail in his proud craft. He is constantly refining and updating his precision cutting as well as classic and creative colour techniques to share with his clients in the salon.

James draws on his experience as a session hair artist working on fashion editorial shoots, fashion week events, and television and advertising campaigns for leading fashion and beauty brands. 

Hairdressing has taken James all over the world, working in London, Berlin, Paris, New York and Italy, as well as Sydney, Australia which he happily now calls home. 

James’ work has been seen in the pages of Elle (Italy), Vogue, Marie Claire, Grazia, Russh and Instyle as well as many other international publications.

James has also worked creating looks for celebrity personalities including Elle Macpherson, Gisele Bundchen, Nicole Scherzinger, Tommy Lee (Motley Crue), Carice Van Houten (Game of Thrones) and Arcade Fire. 

James opened his Woollahra hair salon JIMMY SNIPS in 2018. When away from his colour brushes and Fuji scissors, James is happiest spinning a record at home with his much adored wife and two sons.
